Project aimed at residents of the Residential Home at Łanowa 41 – adults with chronic mental illness.

Course of the workshop:                                                                                 

• Getting used to the space we were working in. Familiarising the participants with the project. A tale of longing based on the myth of Majnun and Laila. Making a letter or keepsake box related to loved ones.
• “Persian Carpet” – making a painting from recycled fabrics.
• “The Way of Longing” – considerations about loss based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Painting stones.
• “Emotions under a magnifying glass – the mask” – each participant chose a character from the myth, thought about the character’s emotions, and then made a mask out of recycled paper pulp.
• “Tears of Laila” — the participants created postcards by putting ink drops on water.
• “What does Hades look like?” — the participants created their own depiction of Hades, painted with paint on grey paper.
• “Shadow theatre” — drawing inspiration from the works created during previous workshops, the participants created figures for the shadow theatre out of recycled cardboard. Then, they played shadow theatre.
• “Colours of Love” — the participants took a close look at love. They made wings – the mythological symbol of love.
• “Huge Mythology” — by drawing inspiration from opera sets, the participants created sculptures out of wire and recycled paper pulp.
