Orfeo & Majnun exhibition of photographs

21 June – 19 September

The exhibition of Orfeo & Majnun photographs presented the Grey Mouse collection designed by Marta Pilas, a graduate of the School of Artistic Design of Clothes SAPU. The creations are complemented with animal masks and puppets created by Roger Titley (creatures.co.za) and produced by vs.designlab | Vero Schürr (vsdesignlab.com) under the Orfeo & Majnun social project that, by referring to the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and to the Arabian story of Layla and Majnun, teaches tolerance and love and connects the European world with the Middle Eastern cultural circle.

Description of the collection:

We live in the 21th century, in the age of digitisation, technology and shortening the distance between people in all possible ways. Unfortunately, this involves unfair competition, loneliness and fight for one’s own good, views and self. It might seem that a “mouseburger” has no right or change to cope in this new world and is doomed to become lost. But what if being a “mouseburger” is a way of leading a normal life and overcoming the adversities of fate?
