Recruitment for the organization of social workshops

Apply by December 1

Take part in the free workshops

Between January and June 2020 we will organise educational, artistic workshops for residents, including community arts classes in dance, cooking, comics, and photography, as well as introductions to Arab music. There will also be open workshops for all participants to build spectacular animal dolls and masks that will be used during the opera performance and the parade.

See an opera performed

The Orfeo & Majnun opera will be performed on the ICE Kraków Congress Centre stage on 20 March 2020. This part of the project is distinguished by the idea of basing the production on cooperation between professional artists (producers, soloists, orchestra musicians) and volunteers and amateurs (community choir and doll animators). The story that will be performed on stage will bring together myths from two very different cultures: European and Arab.

Take part in the parade through Kraków

The project will end in a great community parade that will take place during the Wianki – Casting of the Wreaths – Fête de la Musique on 20 June 2020. The parade will be open to anyone who feels like joining in and participating in that joyful holiday, and it will use the animal masks and dolls made earlier by participants of the workshops.
